Honeybee Exodus

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

Despite the signature line I’ve been using in my emails for quite a while (“be kind to bees”), America’s bees are disappearing – and no one knows why! According to a New York Times Article, “The bee losses are ranging from 30 to 60 percent on the West Coast, with some beekeepers on the East Coast and in Texas reporting losses of more than 70 percent”. This bodes not well. Bees are not only gentle and loving creatures, but are the backbone of our entire ecosystem, aiding assisting and advising all flora and fauna, on land, at sea, and in the air. Their departure signals the complete collapse of the universe as we know it. And they are leaving. Because you were not nice. So next time I ask you to do something, perhaps you’ll listen.
you guys are jerks
